So, what do the images reveal? Here's the basic information we know so far:
- There's a color-coded status bar that changes depending on the app you're in: light gray standard, blue for the dialer, green for messaging.
- The messaging app has a slick look (reminiscent of WhatsApp and the Play Store) with a green status bar. There are no messages in the photos so we can't yet tell if there will be any changes to how they are displayed.
- The phone dialer is pretty similar to Android 4.3 but gets a light blue scheme with a white background.
- The keyboard (from the Korean IME in the Play Store) has a black status bar with light gray scheme, the same thing we've seen in other leaks and the bar-room video. The image also shows a Key Lime Pie debug icon which apparently hadn't been changed to KitKat when the screen caps were taken.
- There are no functionality changes to be seen yet, but these won't be far away. With the Nexus 5 pretty much confirmed to be releasing next month with Android 4.4 KitKat, it won't be long before we get more leaks and confirmations. For now though, this new flat, Holo-standard, color-coded interface is enough to wet our whistles in anticipation of the big reveal next month.
